Audit article draws lots of interest

August 15, 2007 - An article on last week's front page titled "Was the audit worth it?" drew lots of feedback from our readers.
Some Letters to the Editor on the topic can be found in this web edition and a special "Don't Rush Me" is also posted this week.
Included in the exhibits section of The Whall Group's report is a review of the audit provided after its release by Treasurer Alice Young, which is recommended reading for anyone finishing the report itself.
An "Editor's Note" at the end of last week's article said that Young's latest Investment Report followed some recommendations from the audit report.
In fact, Young said she has been following such practices since she came into office and none of her reports to the township board have been changed based on the audit from The Whall Group.
Her annual report was published earlier this year in The Review.Editor, Lake Orion Review. Colin joined The Review in 2005 and became editor earlier this year. He graduated from Kalamazoo College where he served as editor-in-chief of his college newspaper. Colin is a Ferndale High School graduate and currently lives in Pleasant Ridge.
