Erik R Anderson

Died: Sunday, January 13, 2013
Age: 31
of Poulsbo, Wash., formerly of Clarkston and Rochester.

Son of Ken (Suzanne McGill-Anderson) Anderson and Barbara Anderson; big brother of Will, Ben, and Christian; uncle of Emily Andres; and grandson of Elizabeth McGill. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Erik was known as a “computer whiz” because he enjoyed building computers and was very talented with technology support. He was an avid reader who loved history, nature, traveling and camping. He attended Seattle Central Community College and Washington State University.

Gladys M Moore

Died: Thursday, January 10, 2013
Age: 88
Gladys M. Moore of Holly passed away on Jan. 10 at the age of 88.

She was the beloved wife of the late Clarence, and a loving mother of Ron (Jane) Moore of Holly and the late Joyce Schmidt. She was also a dear grandmother to 11, great grandmother of 29, and great-great grandmother of 10.

Gladys was a member of the Lake Orion Senior Center, a member of the Lake Orion Eagles and loved to play Bingo.

For her last three years, Gladys was a resident of the Holly Convalescent Center, and the family would like to share a special thank you to the all the staff that helped with her care during that time.

The family will gather on Thursday, January 17, 2013 ONLY to receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion. Robert F. Christner

Died: Wednesday, January 09, 2013
Age: 71
Robert F. Christner Sr., 71 long time resident of Brown City in Burnside Township, died peacefully Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, surrounded by his family.

He was born February 25, 1941 in Pigeon, Michigan, son of the late Emma Heintz & Emery Seaman. He graduated from Pigeon High School in 1959 and attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, and graduated from Oakland Community College with his Associates Degree. He was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Lake Orion and also a U.A.W. member in Pontiac. Robert worked for G.M. in Pontiac, Grand Blanc & New York as a Journeyman / Tool Maker until his retirement in 2002.

Mr. Christner enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, hunting, fishing, casino trips, all sports especially hockey, spending time at his cottage up at Hardwood Lake near Prescott and most of all, spending time with family and friends. 

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rosemary; Robert (Son) & Jeannie Floyd, Roxanne (Daughter) & Joe Mansueto, Vicky (Daughter) & David Ross, Deborah (Daughter) & Tony Richardson, 8 Brothers, George, Richard, Mike, Tom & Keith Heintz, James, David & Emery Seaman, 2 Sisters, Sybil Seaman & Sandy Brooks, 12 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son Robert Frederick Christner Jr.

Funeral Mass was held Monday, December 3, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in North Branch, with Fr. James Arwady officiating. He was buried in the St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Marlette.

Betty J. Keith

Died: Wednesday, January 09, 2013
Age: 91
Betty J. Keith, of Lake Orion passed away on Jan. 9, at the age of 91.

She was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Millard, and a dear mother of Ellen (Tom) DeLore, Valeria (Ed) Stratton, Kathy (John) Urech and Walter. She was a cherished daughter-in-law to Okie Davis, loving grandmother of twelve, and great-grandmother of many. She was preceded in death by her son Jim.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 14 at 10:30 a.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m., at Lake Orion SPARKS-GRIFFIN Funeral Home. MARGARET ANNA KUTSCHER LANGE

LANGE, MARGARET ANNA KUTSCHER, January 7, 2013, at the age of 96. Formerly of Dearborn and Detroit. Beloved wife of the late William F. Lange. Survived by daughter Gretchen (Ed) Adler of Lake Angelus; her son Richard (Mary) Lange of St. Clair Shores. Her granddaughters Heather Lange and Lara (Dennis) Graham. Her great grandchildren Katherine, Patrick & William Graham. Also preceded in death by her brother Hans Kutscher. Margaret, along with her husband, resided in Detroit and then Dearborn for most of her life. After raising her children she was a hostess at the Dearborn Inn for 15 years. She also enjoyed traveling throughout Europe. Family will be holding a Private Memorial Celebration for Margaret. Passed away January 7, 2013, three months after the love of her life, her husband of 63 years, Howard “Jim” Androl. Daughter of the late Joseph and Eula Barton, Sister of Barbara (the late Richard) Karns and Beverly (the late Wallace) Lacy. Beloved Mother of Diana (Dale) Matteson, James (Beverly) Androl and Jody (the late Colin) MacPherson. Grandmother to Heather Matteson, Christopher, Jonathan and Matthew Androl, Aimee Pinna and Elizabeth MacPherson. Aunt, and Honorary "Mom" to Debbie and Frank Allen. Faithful friends John and Darlene Lentis. She loved all things ”Fashion”, having managed several boutiques in the Waterford area. She loved spending time with family and friends. Patricia Ann Terryah

Died: Monday, January 07, 2013
Age: 75
She was 75.

Patricia was born in South Bend, Ind. on Aug. 7, 1937 to Harry Cross and Nell (Forrester) Booher. She married Glenn Terryah on Aug. 11, 1953. She enjoyed living on the farm and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her children, Glenn (Rhonda), Richard, Barbara Sisco (Ralph) and James (Janet); 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Harry Furkas (Irene); brothers-in-law, Lewis Terryah and Tom (Jeri) Terryah; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Katie; daughter-in-law, Kellie; sister-in-law, Joann; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dick and Lucy Baird.

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held from 2-5 p.m., today, Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Hart Community Center in Davisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Madeline Theo Strong

Died: Monday, January 07, 2013
Age: 80
After an almost five-year battle with dementia and a stroke, Madeline Theo Strong, of Leonard, passed away on January, 7, 2013. She was 80.

She was born in Almont, Michigan and graduated from Dryden High School. After she married her husband Donald L. Strong on March, 24, 1952, they moved to Leonard. Strong was a member of the Leonard Community Church and worked at Canterbury Village’s Always Christmas store.

Madeline was preceded in death by her husband Donald, her father Earl Spencer and her mother Lea (Williams) Spencer. She is survived by her sons Donald L. (Robin) Strong Jr. and Dennis L. Strong, and her sister Shirley (Leroy) Bechtol.

A funeral was held January, 11, 2013 at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors Bossardet Chapel in Oxford. Service was officiated by Pastor Steven Porter of Leonard Community Church. She was buried in Lakeville Cemetery.

Calvin Dunk

Died: Friday, January 04, 2013
Age: 87
Dunk, Calvin, of Mikado Michigan; 87, formerly of Clarkston; passed peacefully in Woodbridge Virginia. Preceded in death by the love of his life for 51 years Frances J. Dunk and brother’s Albert and Dewey. He is survived by his brother Lloyd of Croswell and a sister Jewell Sledz of Southgate. Dear father of Mark of Washington MI, Janis (Claude) Carlson of Lake Orion, Lori (Robert) Mazzone of Woodbridge VA and Las Vegas NV; a step daughter Bonnie (John) Montgomery of Clarksville TN. Cal and Fran enjoyed a winter home in Florida and spent many happy years there. Loving grandchildren; Bill Dunk of Dryden, Jason Dunk of Lake Orion, Andrea (Andrew) Zielinksy of Clarkston, Eric (Patti) Carlson of Monticello MN, Jack (Jennifer) of Rochester Hills; step grandchildren; Kendra Byard and John Montgomery both of Clarksville TN; 3 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren. Dr. Paul A. Gorelick

Died: Friday, January 04, 2013
Age: 75
Dr. Paul A. Gorelick, a long-time resident of Oxford, and affiliated with McLaren Regional Medical Center in Lapeer for 40 years, died peacefully in his sleep on January 4, 2013. He was 75.

Dr. Gorelick is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Carol, four children, Renee (Gorelick) Skipinski of Romeo, Scott and Nancy (Hampton) Gorelick of Linden, Michelle (Gorelick) Sanderson of Parker, CO, and Danielle (Gorelick) Roback of Pinehurst, N. C.; four step-children, Chris and Kathy Fahey of Depauville, N.Y., Michael and Genelle Fahey of Fenton, Sean and Stacy Fahey of Plymouth, and A. J. and Shannon (Fahey) Lee of Clarkston; 26 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

A funeral from Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors took place on Monday, January 7, 2013.
