POLASEK, LYNDE GRACE of Clarkston, suddenly passed October 5, 2012 at age 23. She is survived by her beloved two year old daughter Ava Grace Booker, her mother Jennifer (Joe) Bland, her father Michael (Lynn) Polasek, grandparents Gerald & Margaret Hall, Carol Polasek and Michael Polasek, her great grandmother Grace “YooHoo” Cooper. Also survived by her half siblings Michelle, Terry and Michael Polasek, step siblings Katie, Aron & Justin Bland and her uncles Brian Hall and Jason (Jennifer) Hall. Lynde was a 2007 graduate of Clarkston High School, she was currently attending Oakland Community College and raising her daughter Ava. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 5481 Dixie Hwy., Waterford. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday 2-6 and 7-9 p.m. at COATS FUNERAL HOME – CLARKSTON, 8909 Dixie Hwy. Scripture Service Tuesday evening, time pending. Beloved wife of the late Boyd Daniels; loving mother of Wanda (Stacy) Boatwright, Jerry (Linda) Daniels, Jo Ann (Cowboy) Martin, Barbara (the late David) Sapp, Kenneth (Marlene) Daniels and Pam “Thelma” (Fred) Pettingill. She is survived by 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, 1 sister and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by 1 brother and 3 sisters. Arthur Brewer

of Fenton

Born Jan. 16, 1946 in Jackson, Ky. to the late Toby and Mattie (nee: Short) Brewer. Survived by his wife Linda Brewer; one daughter, Ruth (Menion) Stimage; four grandchildren, Jennifer Brewer, April Brewer, Buster (Nicole) Brewer and Scott Brewer; two brothers, Dennis (Jackie) Brewer, Ance (Caroline) Brewer; and two sisters, Clara Ann McIntosh and Mary Bryant. Also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virgie Brewer.

Arthur was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #324.

Robert H. Chambers

Died: Thursday, October 04, 2012
Age: 68
of Ortonville

Born Jan. 20, 1944 in Pontiac to the late Arthur and Eva (nee: Sillers) Chambers. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marjorie; and two sons, Robert A. (Jody) Chambers and Christopher W. Chambers. He was preceded in death by one sister, Donna (Bill) Cumberworth.

Robert retired from General Motors in 1992 and was a part-time firefighter and part-time administrator for 37 years with Brandon Fire Department where he also was a CPR instructor, instrumental in the Fire Safety House and the home addrees blades. As a young man he was active in Boy Scouts and received his Eagle Scout Award. He later continued his activity with his sons as a Scout Assistant with Troop #139.

Robert was a graduate of Waterford Twp. High School and the Detroit College of Business, receiving his degree in accounting which he used to form a small income tax business. An avid golfer, Robert organized for many years the Atlas/Brandon U of M Burn Center golf outing at Goodrich Country Club.

A funeral service was held Oct. 8 at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, Waterford. Funeral honors were provided by the Brandon Fire Department. Marie Annette Wassell

Died: Wednesday, October 03, 2012
Age: 74
of Goodrich

Born Nov. 3, 1937 in Highland Park to the late Joseph Ernest and Marguerite Mary (nee: Vincent) Bazinet. Marie was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Wassell and one granddaughter, Jamie. She is survived by five children, Terry (John) Sienicki, Kathleen (Jerry) Smith, John (Linda) Wassell, Debbie (Max) Dafoe and Vicki (Dave) Pavlish; thirteen grandchildren, Adam, Nicole, Luke, Brooke, Joe, John, Anna, Jake, Tara, Gabe, John, Hannah and Kyle; and one sister; Mary Jean (Don) Grohs.

Marie loved her family dearly and always put them first. She enjoyed reading and shopping. Marie was a very charitable person. She was a member at St. Anne Catholic Church where her funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 5. Final resting place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Howard Lee Boadway

Age: 76
a lifelong resident of Ortonville, died

Born June 17, 1935 in Pontiac to the late Hilburn and Ester (nee: Hammond) Boadway. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley (nee: Massingill) Boadway; two sons, Michael and Dale (Julie) Boadway; five grandchildren, Sadie, Casey, Breanna, Matt and Cody; two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Eli; four brothers; Glen (Lee) Boadway, Roy (Bruni) Boadway, Chuck (Nancy) Boadway and Bill (Sharon) Boadway; one sister; Faith (Dar) Nystrom and one sister-in-law, Effie Boadway. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ken Boadway, Norma (Bob) Barcome, and Betty (Bob) Backus.

Howard retired from the Road Commission of Oakland County. He loved garage sales, auctions and country jamborees. His passion was fishing, hunting and being outdoors. His greatest time was when he was with his grandchildren.

Steven W Cook

Age: 51
of Goodrich, died at his residence.

Steven was born in Flint on Feb. 8, 1961, son of Wakefield and Joyanne (West) Cook.

He married his high school sweetheart, Lourie Olson, on Aug. 20, 1983.

Steven was employed by Advanced Solutions International.

He enjoyed working in the computer software industry and with modern technology. He was also a big car enthusiast.

Surviving are wife, Lourie; son, Alexander; daughter, Shelby; mother, Joyanne Cook; sisters, Cindy and husband Jim Lutz of Flint, Tami and husband Pat Baker of Goodrich; brother, Wakefield Guy Cook of Burton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Wakefield Cook.

A funeral service was planned for 11 a.m. today, Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Angel L. Garcia officiating.

Cremation will take place following the service.

Visitation 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
