November 09, 2011 - Oxford High School's Fine Arts Center was alive with the sound of music Thursday evening as "Band-O-Rama" hit the stage.

The event featured performances by the high school's talented marching band, symphonic band, concert band, jazz band and wind ensemble.

"The purpose is to feature all our bands in one, big concert," said Band Director Jim Gibbons. "It's our first formal concert (of the year) to kick things off and let people see all their (musical) options. Here's what you can come see (at future concerts)."

For the marching band, it was the last performance of the season with the exception of the Oxford Christmas parade on Saturday, Dec. 3. – CJC
