November 23, 2011 - Looking for an excuse to avoid shopping this weekend? The Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission is offering free entry to all guests on Thanksgiving Day and this Friday. Visitors can hike a trail, bird watch or just relax and enjoy nature at Orion Oaks (2301 Clarkston Road), Independence Oaks (9501 Sashabaw Road in Clarkston) and the other county parks.
