December 07, 2011 - Downtown Oxford was the place to be Friday night as crowds of visitors strolled Washington St. sampling scrumptious soups and sweet treats from local eateries as part of a DDA-sponsored holiday event.

Everybody then headed over to Centennial Park to listen to Oxford's talented elementary, middle school and high school students perform a variety of Christmas songs.

The crowd even learned how to sing Jingle Bells using sign language. Cool!

After the entertainment portion, the countdown began for the lighting of the village's 50-foot Christmas tree. – CJC
