February 15, 2012 - Independence Township board voted 5-1 to make Bart Clark the permenant Township Superintendent. Clark had been a temporary for the past three months. Trustee Mark Petterson voted "no."
"Whether I think it's personally good for the township or not, doesn't matter," Petterson said. "The taxpayers already said no. That's what I'm going to uphold."
