February 15, 2012 - Jose Aliaga kicked off his candidacy for Independence Township trustee with a swanky fund raiser at the home of his friends, Dr. Shivajee and Terri Nallamothu, Jan. 26.
Guests included local and state-level government and business leaders. George Romney, nephew of presidential candidate Mitt Romney, was also in attendance.
"I've known Jose for a while," George said. "He's the right kind of guy for the job. I had to come here and help in any way I can."
