March 28, 2012 - Lions Egg Hunt

Beginning at 10 a.m., April 7, at the football field at H.T. Burt Lifelong Learning Center, 209 Varsity Drive, Ortonville, the Ortonville Lions Club will hold its free annual community Easter Egg Hunt for children ages one to nine. There will also be pictures with the Easter Bunny.

RX drop-off

From 9 a.m.-3 p.m., today at the Atlas Township offices, 7386 Gale Road, the Office of the Genesee County Sheriff, Robert J. Pickell, will host a prescription drug drop-off. The office will be collecting unwanted and expired prescription and over-the-counter medications. The goal of the program is to dispose of medications safely and environmentally correctly and eliminating the availability of these drugs to youth.

Craft, bake, treasure sale

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 21, the Edna Burton Senior Center, 345 Ball St., Ortonville, will host a craft, bake and treasure sale. Table rental available. Details: 248-627-6447.

Class of 2014

From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., April 21, at Oaktree Elementary, 7500 South Gale Road, Goodrich, there will be a scrapbooking crop fundraiser for the Goodrich Class of 2014. There will be breakfast, lunch, dinner, scrapbooking vendors and door prizes. The cost is $35, and registration must be received by April 15. Details: Lisa, 810-636-4447.

Folk Ensemble

At 11 a.m., Fridays, The Folk Ensemble, a group of women and men who play acoustic instruments, will meet at the Ortonville Old Town Hall, 486 Mill St., Oronville. Details: 248-627-7445.

Spring book sale

From 9 a.m.- 2 p.m., April 21, the Friends of the Library will host a Spring Book Sale, at the Goodrich Library, 10237 Hegel Road. Drop off your gently used books before April 20.

Managing your investments

From 7-8:30 p.m., April 4, the Brandon Township Public Library, 304 South St., will host an exploration of easy-to-follow seven-step process for organizing, coordinating and managing all your separate investment accounts as one purposeful, overall portfolio. Easter egg hunt

At 10 a.m., April 7, Wojo's Greenhouse, 2570 Oakwood Road, will host an Easter egg hunt. Youth ages 1-12-years-old are welcome to this free event. Details: 248-627-6498.

Open yoga

From 7-8 p.m., every Tuesday beginning April 10, the Brandon Township Public Library, 304 South St., will host adult open yoga. This class is for the beginner or anyone looking to develop a strong and safe practice. Proper alignment, breath awareness, posture and relaxation are taught. Something new will be introduced every week. The cost of the class will be $50 for the full ten weeks, or $6 per class on a drop-in basis. Fletcher Intermediate Fundraiser

From 5-9 p.m., April 17, MacPhee's Restaurant & Pub, 650 S. Ortonville Road, Ortonville will donate 20 percent of your bill to Fletcher Intermediate School. Coupon is necessary and available at Fletcher Intermediate School. In additon there will be a raffle for a Will Bynum signed Pistons basketball. Details: 248-627-2891.
