August 08, 2012 - FISH pantry needs local help
Oxford/Orion FISH, a local food bank, is in urgent need of office and Pantry Volunteers to work two days a month.
The office hours are from 9 am. until 1p.m., twice a month and the pantry is two hour shifts twice a month. The shifts needing help are: every other Monday from 1p.m. to 3p.m., every other Tuesday from 3 p.m. 5 p.m. and every other Thursday from 3p.m. to 5p.m.
Volunteers choose which one will work in their schedule.

Milestones
Wedding anniversary- Don and Andrea Luby of Lake Orion were married 50 years ago on August 25, 1962 in Follansbee, West Virginia. The Lubys have two children: Susan (Steve) Poulos and Don (Kathy) Luby, and six grandchildren: Nick, Jane, Jack, Andy, Kate and Grace, all of whom reside in Lake Orion. Don and Andrea will be honored by family and friends with a dinner celebration.
Wedding announcment - Mr. & Mrs. Frederick Dickman of Oxford are very pleased to announce the engagement of their son Philip of Lake Orion, to Ms. Sherry Rancour of Mayville. Her parents are Mr. & Mrs. Denny Rancour of Atlanta, Michigan.
