September 12, 2012 - Oxford Superintendent Dr. William Skilling (center) visited American Legion Post 108 on Sunday morning to present the local veterans group with a framed collage of color photographs snapped during the dedication of the new flagpole at Oxford's football stadium on Aug. 26, 2011. The pole was dedicated to "all the men and women from Oxford, Michigan who have served in our armed forces to protect the freedoms we enjoy and cherish as Americans." Many local veterans proudly participated in that dedication ceremony. Pictured with Skilling are Post 108's Sergeant-at-Arms Jon Jeffery (left) and Commander Bill Service. Photo by C.J. Carnacchio.
