September 26, 2012 - Clarkston Community Schools' purchase of 10 Aerohive Wireless WiFi access points last month was from Dynamic Computer Corporation of Farmington Hills for $8,801.35.

School administration budgeted $15,000 for the purchase.

"We followed all policies and procedures for this purchase, which is part of our strategic plan and allows us to expand learning opportunities for our students," said Superintendent Dr. Rod Rock. "We have not put in permanent wiring for these devices as they are currently somewhat portable. As previously noted, we will work with our staff to determine the best placement of this limited wireless access."

They are currently placed in the high school cafeteria and performing arts center. The bid package includes five years of maintenance for the price of one, Rock said.
