December 05, 2012 - In Oxford, the official start of the holiday season is marked by the annual Christmas parade, which always rolls through the downtown area on the first Saturday of December.

Elaborate floats, cute animals, festive costumes and of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus are all part of the fun as Oxford begins celebrating the most wonderful time of the year.

Parade winners not mentioned with accompanying photos included American Legion/Young Marines (Best Service Organization), First Baptist Church of Oxford (Best Religious Float), Greater Oakland County Republican Club (Best Float), LA Dance (Best Dance Group), Norris CPA PLLC (Best Theme) and Studio 8 Dance Arts Center of Southeast Michigan/OHS Dance Team (Best Christmas Spirit) – CJC
