They held bake sales, sold lemonade and daisy suckers, washed cars, and held fundraisers for Madison to raise over $1,700 during the month.
Madison was put into a medically induced coma because of continuous seizures damaging her brain in early March. The money raised during May will go to her hospital bills.
"We have been doing fundraisers called Monday for Maysie," said Morgan Dolan, explaining students paid one dollar to wear pajamas one day and another dollar to wear a hat during another day.
They also held two fundraisers at Mel's Grill, where Madison's mom works.
"It feels good to help her," said Christian Bartley.
Students of all ages sold lemonade in early May. Sierrah Fisette, Mikaylah Fisette, Briannah Long, Kendall Valentine, Ashlyn Pew and Madison Pew raised 20 dollars
"I'm really proud of them coming up with this idea," said mom, Beth Fisette. "They even rode around the neighborhood on scooters and bikes promoting their lemonade stand trying to raise as much money as possible. Every little bit counts."
Some donated or made items for Madison while she is in the hospital to show the community is thinking about her.
"A mom made a blanket," Dolan added. "Every grade signed their name in different squares."
Donations can be made to The Maysie Madison Fund at TCF Bank located, 6430 Dixie Highway in Clarkston.
The family added they are grateful for the prayers, love, and support Madison has received from the community.
