September 04, 2013 - Centennial Park was filled with the soothing sounds of the Lapeer Symphony Orchestra Aug. 29 as it performed the last concert of the summer series.

The group played everything from patriotic songs, such as the National Anthem and America the Beautiful, to mainstays of popular culture, such as the theme to the Star Wars movies and the Imperial March (i.e. Darth Vader's theme music).

Conducted by Keith Corbett, the Lapeer Symphony Orchestra will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year.
