December 11, 2013 - Goodrich-A new full-service vehicle repair shop has just rolled into the village.

ABC Auto Repair, 8223 S. State Road, Goodrich opened last month and for owner Jeremy Jacobs it's like coming home.

"We're a family business," said Jacobs, a 2001 Goodrich High School graduate and Davison resident. "We had done very well at our Flint store, which we opened in 2006, so we decided to expand and open a store earlier this year in Davison. Like any new business we figured it would break even, but it has been profitable in the first year. Our plans were not to expand quite so soon, but we had an great opportunity to open a third store in Goodrich. The location was just right so we moved forward and opened Nov. 14."

The company's success is grounded on a simple formula, added Jacobs.

"Every one customer is worth ten additional customers if you treat them right and earn their trust," he said. "We're known as the guys who can fix the vehicle when others have failed. It's all about having the right equipment and personnel to get the job done."

Jacobs said any vehicle is welcome at ABC.

"At our Flint store we work on about 97 percent General Motors cars," he said. "Out here in Davison and Goodrich we have a variety of makes—Lexus, Mercedes. We'll take them all. Wire diagnostics, scanners and we can program vehicles—we have the knowledge to have your vehicle up and running right."

Jacobs said that since about 2008 and the downturn in the economy, people are buying more used cars.

"The cars on the road today are a little older," he said. "Customers are also focusing more on preventative work—keeping their vehicle longer and running at peak performance. Transportation is expensive, so it just makes sense to keep it running smoothly and efficiently."

From automotive engine repair to transmissions to no-start diagnostics, ABC Auto Repair has the professional experience to take care of the customers needs, added Jacobs.

"We provide a designated service writer behind the counter to work with our customers," he said. "If parts are needed they can call several auto parts stores to find a better price. The service writer does not work on customer vehicles, rather, focuses strictly on customer satisfaction at competitive prices. Our waiting room is clean and we'll even give you a ride home or deliver your vehicle if needed."

"Let our family help your family," he added.
