February 19, 2014 - Sheriff to address Rotary Club

Oakland County's top cop, Sheriff Mike Bouchard, will be the guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Oxford's Tuesday, Feb. 25 meeting.

The public is invited to attend.

Bouchard will begin speaking at 12:30 p.m. at the Oxford Hills Golf & Country Club (300 E. Drahner Rd.). Folks who wish to join the Rotarians for lunch prior to Bouchard taking the podium can do so at 12 noon for $10 per person.

Let village water trickle

Due to the prolonged cold weather, water lines have been freezing at various locations in Oxford Village. Thawing out the lines is a very challenging task and could take days to get the water service flowing again.

With warmer weather coming, the frost line will go down further, which could result in more water lines freezing.

To help avoid freezing lines, folks are encouraged to trickle their water faucet overnight or when you may be gone for an extended period of a day or more.

Folks with questions can call the village office at (248) 628-2543.
