February 26, 2014 - The Lady Dragons ended their season in a tough way.

The girls dropped both contests last week to finish the regular season 12-8.

In the opening round of the state playoffs on Monday, the girls were routed by Stoney Creek, 60-38, to end the season at 12-9. Hannah Hamay scored nine and Nicole Krier netted seven points.

The first contest last week was against Oxford on the road. The Wildcats took revenge of their earlier loss to the Dragons with a 56-32 knockout.

The Dragons were led by Evelyn Wischmeyer and Melanie Gagen with eight point apiece and Sarah Voss added four.

Looking for a bounce back game against the league leading Highlanders of Rochester Adams the Dragons donned some all pink uniforms to support Coaches vs Cancer.

Even the great uniforms and cause couldn't put LO over the top as the Highlanders clinched the league championship with a 45-32 win over Lake Orion.

The Dragons played tough and hung in there until the fourth quarter led by the play of Sophomore Delaney Haan who scored eight points. Wischmeyer and Gagen both chipped in six and Hamay had five.
