April 23, 2014 - The Optimists honored Clarkston kids from three elementary schools with Student Citizen awards, April 16.

Miguel Need was selected from Independence Elementary School.

"Miguel is a wonderful student," said Principal Chris Turner at the Optimist breakfast meeting.

"The Optimist Creed is Miguel all the way down," said teacher Rory Stevenson, who taught Need in third and fifth grades. "He's a role model every single day."
