Starting the morning of May 31, all 32 on-site Orion/Oxford Relay for life teams put up their tents and starting setting up their fundraising tables for the annual Relay for Life event. According to event coordinator Rachel Leas, about 450 were registered online to participate and $99,458 was raised, just shy of their $105,000 goal. The event's purpose is to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

The Relay for Life events going on throughout the 24-hour event period included live local bands, live and silent auctions, and three ceremonies: Celebrate for Survivors, Remember Luminary and Fight Back to Motivate. See Page 3 for more photos.
