February 08, 2012 - Dear Editor,

The Ortonville Lions Club would like to express our deepest appreciation for the generosity that we have been shown by our local community, including our local merchants, who have graciously supported us through these difficult financial times. We feel that your generosity should not go un-acknowledged and we would like to share with you some of what we have accomplished together.

Your support of White Cane, Holiday Nut, Mints, and September Fest brat sales and your hole sponsorships at our Larry Appleton Golf Outing have enabled the Ortonville Lions to support many worthy organizations and charities.

This year The Ortonville Lions have granted seven scholarships to graduating seniors at Brandon High School. We have also supported the following: O.C.E.F., Brandon's C.E.R.T., Senior Citizen's Thanksgiving Dinner, sponsorship of a summer ball team through the Brandon Recreation Department, Leader Dogs for the Blind, the Penrickton Center for Blind Children, Beaumont Silent Children's Fund, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Lions of Michigan Service Foundation, Lions Visually impaired Youth Camp (Bear Lake), Michigan Eye Bank, Madonna University Hearing Fund, and Project Kid Sight. In addition, the Ortonville Lions have also provided hearing aids and eye glasses, including exams, for those in need of assistance.

The Ortonville Lions are proud to support our community and we find it gratifying to assist those in need. Our club can honestly state that we could have not accomplished ours goals without the generous support of the community of Ortonville. Anyone wishing

to learn more about the Lions or to join in our efforts, please feel free to contact any Lions member.

We look forward to continuing to support our community with the generous support of our community. Again, thank you, Ortonville.
