January 25, 2012 - Monday, January 23 - Retail fraud reported at a business on N. Lapeer Rd. A female allegedly tried to steal two drug testing kits, two dog treats, turkey lunch meat and some pain relief medication. The female was issued an appearance ticket for retail fraud.
*Domestic assault reported on Oakmont Dr. A husband began allegedly choking his wife after accusing her of an affair taking place 25-35 years ago. The woman left and came back, and then got into a verbal altercation with the husband again, who began allegedly choking her. This time, he allegedly threw her on the floor and began to stomp and slap her. When speaking with Oakland County Sheriff Deputies, the man made suicidal statements, prompting the Oxford Fire Department to be called to the scene. When the man was cleared by the Fire Department, he was arrested for domestic assault and transported to Oakland County Jail.
*A caller on Oxford Lakes Dr. reported seeing someone walking on Oxford Lake, which was iced over. The caller was concerned about the person's safety since the temperature was in the 40's.
*Assault and battery reported at a business on S. Washington.
Sunday, January 22 - Oakland County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to Kintyre Dr& to take a fraud report. The reporting person said two of his companions stayed at his house for 10 days. Upon leaving, the victim's mother reported seeing three checks written from her sons account and an attempted use of her son's American Express Card.
*Two women were reported to be in a fist fight in the SE parking lot. Both subjects were gone when officers arrived.
*A woman on Park St. reported her son was stealing from her. She sad her son had warrants for his arrest and did not wish to file a police report.
Saturday, January 21 - Unresponsive male reported on Oxford Lakes Dr.
*Some subjects were reported trespassing on Oxford Lakes Dr. The subjects were spotted ice fishing, but officers learned they had permission from the residents.
*A pillar in the parking lot of Oxford Mills Plaza was smashed.
*Family trouble reported on Franklin Circle. A daughter called dispatch saying she wanted to leave, but her parents wouldn't let her. The girls father confirmed her story.
Friday, January 20 - Suspicious person reported at a business on N. Washington. A male kept buying pies for people in line behind him and asking the store employees questions.
*Indecent exposure reported on Broadway.
Thursday, January 19 - Caller states she dropped a male off at an address on Park St and he became upset when she wouldn't give him his phone number and punched the hood of her car. The caller saw no visible damage to her vehicle.
*A woman at a business on N. Washington asked to be walked out to her car by Village officers because an individual kept coming in and out of the location claiming he was Bill Gates' brother.
Wednesday, January 18 -Report of a runaway juvenile on Hunters Rill. A woman received a call about her grandson pouring paint on the floor of Oxford Middle School. The juvenile left the middle school prior to being picked up, but was later found walking near the entrance of the Lakevilla Mobile Home Park on Lakeville Rd.
*A woman on Loch Lemond Ct. was arrested for domestic assault after punching and scratching her husbands face during an argument. Both parties had been drinking that evening.
*Assault and battery reported on Lakes Edge.
