TAKEN BY THE TOWNSHIP BOARD
THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF INDEPENDENCE
October 25, 2011
A. The Special Meeting of the Charter Township of Independence Board was called to order at 6:08 PM at the Independence Township Hall.
B. The Pledge of Allegiance was given.
C. ROLL CALL: Present: Carson, Lohmeier, Pallotta, Rosso, Wallace
Absent: Petterson, Wagner
There was a quorum present.
Also Present: Steve Ronk – Fire Chief
Gregg Schultz – Schultz and Young, PC
Approval to appoint Acting Chair.
D. APRROVAL OF AGENDA: Approval of Agenda as amended.
F. PUBLIC COMMENT: None
G. BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS: Board members commented on various topics
E. AGENDA ITEMS AS STATED IN THE CALL OF THE MEETING
1. Approval of Fire Engine Replacement Program (Steve Ronk, Fire Chief)
2. Budget Adjustment – Elected Official's Wages, Acct #101-101-703 (No action required)
3. Approval to Move into Closed Session
a) Privileged Attorney-Client Privileged-Legal Opinion, as permitted by MCL 15.268(h)
b) Pending Litigation, as permitted by MCL 15268(e)
The Special Meeting RECESSED at 7:02 PM
The Special Meeting RECONVENED at 7:08 PM and MOVED into Closed Session.
The Special Meeting RECONVENED at 8:08 PM
