BLOCK GRANT FUNDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Township of Brandon will hold a public hearing on the use of Community Development Block Grant Funds. The Hearing will be held within the regularly scheduled Board meeting at 7:30 PM on Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Brandon Township Offices, 395 Mill Street, Ortonville, MI 48462 for the purpose of hearing public comments on the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Year 2012 application in the approximate amount of $31,665.00 to fund eligible projects AND to WAIVE/RECAPTURE 2009 funds AND to REPROGRAM 2010 FUNDS as follows:

Description change to: Improve the Edna Burton Senior Center by installing lighting along the pathways and motion security lighting on the building, install insulation & vapor barrier under the floors of the building, convert the storage room to a computer lab and expanded storage space which includes extending the outer walls, raising the floor level with the rest of the building, partitioning for storage, installing insulation, removing the outside door, running heating vents and electrical, run internet & phone lines and any necessary carpentry work to the outside to comply with township ordinances and to install built in shelving throughout the building where necessary for storage.
All interested citizens are requested to attend the Hearing. Comments will also be received in writing or in person at the Brandon Township Clerk's office at 395 Mill Street, P.O. Box 929, Ortonville, MI 48462 until 12:00 PM Wednesday, November 16, 2011.
This meeting is open to all members of
the public under Michigan's Open Meetings Act.
