VILLAGE OF LEONARD RESIDENTS AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES

Please take notice that the Village Council for the Village of Leonard will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, May 14, 2012 at or about 7:00 PM local time. The meeting will be held at the Village of Leonard, Rowland Hall, 23 East Elmwood, Leonard, MI.

PURPOSE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The purpose of the Public Hearing is to hear and receive public comment on the proposed adoption of an Ordinance to reduce the number of Village Trustees from six (6) Trustees to four (4) Trustees on the Village Council.

Adoption of Ordinance 39 would effectively reduce the number of Village Council Trustees to four and would constitute the Village Council as a five member Village Council consisting of four Trustees and the Village President.

The Village Council will receive and accept written and verbal comment up to and including the Public Hearing Date.

The Village of Leonard will provide necessary and reasonable auxiliary aids and services upon request to the Village Clerk at least 7 days prior to the hearing date.

This notice is posted in compliance with PA 267 of 1976 as amended (Open Meetings Act), MCLA 41.72a (2) (3) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

A COPY OF THIS NOTICE AND APPLICATION IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE VILLAGE CLERK.
