Salary and Benefits:

1. Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000

2. This is a full-time, non-union, salaried position offers a comprehensive benefits package

The Charter Township of Independence, an equal opportunity employer, is seeking qualified applicants, without regard to race or other protected status, for the position of Video Producer.

Position Description Summary:

This position's primary function is to create video content for playback on the local community television channels. The Video Producer is responsible for researching topics, conducting interviews, writing scripts, and operating video production equipment.

Essential Functions of the Position:

1 Create video content for playback on the local community television channels.

2 Responsible for researching topics.

3 Conduct interviews.

4 Operate video production equipment; cameras, audio mixers, video switchers, editing systems, and lighting.

5 Recruitment, supervision, and training of staff and volunteers.

6 Proper maintenance of video production equipment.

7 Write and proofread scripts.

8 Copy editing.

9 Direct video productions.

10 Teach classes on use of video equipment.

11 Assist as crew member for video productions.

12 Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Video Production or related field and 1-2 years' experience in video production required. 3 years in television production and/or operations preferred.

Selection Guidelines:

2. Must comply with Clarkston Community School District policies.
