NOTICE OF ADOPTION
Notice is hereby given that the Charter Township of Oxford Board of Trustees, at a Regular Meeting on the 11th day of September 2013 adopted Ordinance No. 67A.010: ZONING ORDINANCE 67A.010
Amendment to Article 3.5 – Schedule of Use Regulations (E)(F)(G)(H): This amendment would make public and private parks and recreation activities a Special Land Use.
Amendment to Section 5.32 – Wireless Communications: The word "unobstructed" is being removed from this Section.
Amendment to Section 10.5 – Outdoor Storage: Purpose of this amendment is to give the Planning Commission the discretion to approve alternative fence types and heights in various districts.
Amendment to Section 17.8 – Zoning Board of Appeals: The Zoning Board of Appeals wants provisions in this section of the Ordinance to require a time limit of 365 days to commence a variance approval with the possibility of a 180-day extension.

The effective date of this Ordinance shall depend on whether the Ordinance is requested to be submitted to the Township electors for approval. A notice of intent to file a petition requesting submission of this Ordinance to the electors residing in the Township outside the limits of cities and villages must be filed with the Township Clerk within seven (7) days of publication of this Ordinance. If such a notice has not been timely submitted, this Ordinance shall take effect on the eighth day following publication. If a notice of intent is timely filed, a petition requesting the submission of the Ordinance to the Township electors, signed by a number of registered electors of the Township outside the limits of cities and villages that is not less than 15% of the total vote cast for all candidates for governor at the last general election at which a governor was elected, must be filed with the Township Clerk within thirty (30) days of publication of the Ordinance. If such a petition has not been timely filed, this Ordinance shall take effect on the 31st day following publication. If such a petition has been timely filed, this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon the final determination by the Township Clerk that it has been approved by a majority of the registered electors in the Township residing outside the limits of cities and villages that vote on the Ordinance, have voted to approve it.
