FAIRVIEW DRIVE WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT

VILLAGE OF LAKE ORION

OAKLAND COUNTY, MICHIGAN

Sealed proposals for the construction of the Fairview Drive Water Main Replacement will be received by the Village of Lake Orion Clerk for the Village of Lake Orion, 37 E. Flint Street, Lake Orion, Michigan 48362 until 11:00 a.m., Local Time on Tuesday, February 4. 2014, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read.

Description of Work

The Drawings indicate a Base Bid and an Alternate Bid No. 1 to perform water main replacement by a combination of both pre-chlorinated pipe bursting and open cut methods. The Base Bid includes the bulk of the project's proposed water main replacement on Fairview Drive that is to be done utilizing pre-chlorinated pipe bursting methods while Alternate Bid No. 1 includes additional footage of proposed open cut water main replacement further north on Fairview Drive. The Bidder shall provide unit prices for all bid items to perform construction for both the Base Bid and Alternate Bid No. 1. The Village will decide after the bids are opened if the Base Bid alone, or both the Base Bid and the Alternate Bid No. will be awarded, depending upon the availability of funds.

Plans and Specifications will only be available online at the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN) Purchasine Group site, http://www.mitn.info, beginning Wednesday. January 15, 2014. All prospective bidders will be required to register with and utilize the MITN system to view and download the bid plans and specifications and all additional project documents, such as addenda, for this project. Registration for the MITN site is free with optional automatic notification service available.
