After a 6-2 showing on Tuesday that Coach Greg Normand calls "worst game I've ever seen," the OHS boys lacrosse team redeemed themselves with a 15-3 trouncing of Chelsea.
Against Chelsea, Piper Thaler had 5 goals a 2 assists, Adam Cole had 5 goals, and freshman Austin Kreshock has 2 goals and 3 assists.
Freshman Jared Tasch, in his second start as Varsity goalie had 14 saves. Dominic Biolchinili was a defensive standout with 5 ground balls and 3 steals. Coach Normand said Biolchinili is going to be a "big time player" before he's through.
OHS is now 4-2 on the year, their best showing since the program began four years ago. They play next against Troy
Normand also coached the Michigan State women's lacrosse team against Oakland University in a an exhibition fundraising match. Oakland pulled out a narrow win 10-9. The tilt was closely contested the entire way, Norman noted.
He'd like to make this event an annual one, perhaps a little later in April to catch warmer weather to draw more people.
