OHS Varsity Girls and Boys Track pulled out a victory in a closely matched contest against Stoney Creek April 11.
The final score of the boys event was 66-62, while the girls finished 69-59. Both boys and girls teams secured their wins by winning the final event, the 1600m relay.
Head Track Coach Robert Blunk was pleased with the effort, and said his groups have "a lot of confidence, and know how to get the job done"
Widldcat standouts included junior Brook Kovacic who bested her own school record in the 3200m. Her new mark is now 10:56.7, nearly 8 seconds faster than her previous standard.
For the boys, Anthony Cappuccilli was the go-to guy, turning in a "work horse day." He placed a very close second in the 200m, and finished first in the 400m, 1600m and 3200m relays.
Tuesday's victories bring the OHS boys track record to 2-0 on the year, and the girls move to 1-1.
