The squad lost to North Farmington, 95-83. Last season the Wildcats swam in the Blue Division.
"Although this meet was a loss on our record, I am really proud of the boy's accomplishments in this first meet. The times posted were what I expected or better than I expected across the board. Many of the athletes now have their first taste of competition in swimming and have learned ways to improve," Rank said.
The outcome could have been lopsided but North Farmington chose to swim "exhibitions" in the final three races, which automatically gave wins to the Wildcat swimmers.
