February 27, 2013 - After great effort and energy in the first half, the boys' varsity hoopsters got shot down by Rochester 57-35.

"Unfortunatel, the game is 32 minutes long and not 16 minutes (long,)" said Oxford's Head Coach Paul Marfia.

He credited Rochester's James Young and the rest of the team who he said "played well in their roles." He was also proud of his players' effort and attitude.

"We just have to work on worrying only about the things we (can) control like our attitude and effort for an entire game," he said. "Hopefully, the next time we come to a gun fight, we won't bring a knife and the other guy won't bring a cannon."

Trevor graduated with degrees in English and communications from Rochester College. He wrote for his college and LA View newspapers before joining The Clarkston News in May 2007.
