New location for Skorupski Law Office

June 25, 2008 - For attorney Deborah Skorupski, working in the town in which she lives makes good sense.

She moved her practice from Clarkston to Davisburg because her family and community are there.

"If my office is in the city, in Farmington or Southfield, that's not me investing in my community," Skorupski said.

In her general law practice, she handles cases in family law, probate and estate planning, real estate, corporate law, criminal law, adoptions, and international law.

She helps her clients navigate the often complex legal system.

"Especially now, with as many things that are wrong right now with the economy, people losing their jobs, and people's family lives being in the middle of turmoil, whatever help I can offer to just walk them through the process and help give them some semblance of peace as they go along is the goal," she said.

Earning clients' trust is very important, she said.

She has been practicing law for 15 years, earning degrees from Alma College and University of Detroit Mercy Law School.

She taught law at DePaul University, Detroit College of Law, Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Michigan State University, Huron Valley and Brighton Area Continuing Education.

Skorupski Law Office is in downtown Davisburg, 661 Broadway. Appointments are available, call 248-634-4300.
