Dragon athletics on the run

Lady Dragons took six wins in the Goodrich Tournament, Sept. 26, before North Branch had the final say. Lake Orion lost to that team, 25-15 and 25-12.

The girls came away with three wins against Farmington, Oct. 1. Farmington took two. Scores were 25-18, LO; 25-23, F; 25-19, F; 25-21, LO; and 15-13, LO.

Girls' golf

Lake Orion won over Stoney Creek, 204-176 at Twin Lakes (par 36), Sept. 29.

Girls' cross country

The girls took eighth of eight teams at OAA's second jamboree, held at Stoney Creek Metro Park, Sept. 30.

Lady Dragons earned fourth place at the Waterford Invitational, Oct. 2, with 72 points. Birmingham Seaholm won with 44.

Girls' swimming

Lady Dragons lost to Birmingham Seaholm, 138-48, Sept. 29.

Boys' cross country

The boys took second of nine teams at OAA's second jamboree, held at Stoney Creek Metro Park, Sept. 30.

Dragons earned second place at the Waterford Invitational, Oct. 2, with 46 points. Waterford Mott won with 30.

Boys' tennis

Dragons earned the fourth place spot out of eight teams in the OAA White Tournament, Oct. 1, with 36 points. Winner Troy Athens had 53.

Boys' soccer

Lake Orion, now 9-1-2 this season, beat Auburn Hills Avondale, 6-1, in a home game, Sept. 29. The boys lost to Troy, 3-1, Oct. 1.
