December 16, 2009 - From paintings to photography, hand crafted jewelry, and garden tools, Clarkston Retailers Group celebrated their first annual Clarkston Art Show this past weekend at the Clarkston Mills Mall.

"I thought we had a great group of artists," said Peggy Roth, organizer. "The people who came through couldn't have been more positive in their response to what we're trying to do."

The show filled the mall, just like it used to be, Roth said.

"Nothing had been done in that building in particular for so long," she said. "It was wonderful to see this building in use, remembering when things used to go on there and they were encouraging us to continue doing things. I thought it was a very positive weekend. "

Trevor graduated with degrees in English and communications from Rochester College. He wrote for his college and LA View newspapers before joining The Clarkston News in May 2007.
