The 2010 Orion Township Board of Review will meet at the Orion Township Hall, 2525 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion, Michigan on the following dates:
March 2, 2010 (Tuesday), 10:00 a.m., Organization Meeting. Review and examination of the 2010 Assessment Roll only. No individual appeals will be heard on this date.
March 8, 2010 (Monday), 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
March 9, 2010 (Tuesday), 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
March 10, 2010 (Wednesday), 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
If you wish to appeal your valuation before the March Board of Review, you must schedule an appointment with the Oakland County Equalization Office by calling (248) 858-5584. All appeals are by appointment only and must be scheduled on or before Wednesday, March 10, 2010.
Only non-resident property owners may appeal by letter. All letter protests must be received by 4:30 p.m. March 10, 2010 in order to be considered by the Board of Review. Resident property owners may not appeal by letter. A current letter of authorization is required if you are appealing an assessment on behalf of a property owner.
The 2010 estimated tentative assessment ratio for each class of property in the Township is 50.00 %, resulting in an estimated equalization multiplier of 1.000 for all classes of property.
