Bailey Lake Elementary students spent April 29 celebrating C.A.T.S - Connecting Academics Through Service.
Each grade level participated in helping the community through learning. Kindergartners made cat adoption bags and the third-graders made cats toys to put in.
Second-graders made pine cone bird feeders and fifth-graders made bandanas for dogs of all sizes.
The day ended with an all-school celebration and an Oakland Pet Adoption assembly.
Advanced PetCare brought cats and dogs for families to adopt.
Each one went home with a bag made by the students.
