NOTICE OF ADOPTION

Notice is hereby given that the Charter Township of Oxford Board of Trustees, at a Regular Meeting on the 12th day of May 2010 held the Second Reading and adopted Amendment .005 to Zoning Ordinance No. 67A:

i. Building Official to Zoning Administrator-Articles 5 through 14

ii. Signage Article 9 Section 9.5 Signs Allowed Without a Permit

iii. Temporary Signs Article 9 Section 9.10

iv. Establishment of Planning Commission Article 19 (New)

A complete copy of Amendment .005 to Zoning Ordinance No. 67A is available at the Charter Township of Oxford Office, 300 Dunlap Road, Oxford, MI 48371, (248) 628-9787 Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

The effective date of this Ordinance shall depend on whether the Ordinance is requested to be submitted to the Township electors for approval. A notice of intent to file a petition requesting submission of this Ordinance to the electors residing in the Township outside the limits of cities and villages must be filed with the Township Clerk with seven (7) days of publication of this Ordinance. If such a notice has not been timely submitted, this Ordinance shall take effect on the eighth day following publication. If a notice of intent is timely filed, a petition requesting the submission of the Ordinance to the Township electors, signed by a number of registered electors of the Township outside the limits of cities an villages that is not less than 15% of the total vote cast for all candidates for governor at the last general election at which a governor was elected, must be filed with the Township Clerk within thirty (30) days of publication of the Ordinance. If such a petition has not been timely filed, this Ordinance shall take effect on the 31st day following publication. If such a petition has been timely filed, this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon the final determination by the Township Clerk that it has been approved by a majority of the registered electors in the Township residing outside the limits of cities and villages that vote on the Ordinance, have voted to approve it.
