Girls' lacrosse, softball, boys' golf, girls' soccer

May 26, 2010 - Girls' lacrosse

Wednesday, May 19, the varsity girls' lacrosse team traveled to University Liggett in Grosse Poiinte Woods and captured a 12-10 victory to improve their overall record to 8-6-2.

Senior Jodie Parker lead the scoring with four goals and an assist.

Ronnie Booth, Paige Hammerl and Carly Brooks each scored twice.

Megan Nash and Kaileen Tweedie added goals, while Hammerl had one assist.

Lindsay Butterfield saved 10 Knights' shots on goal and Corey Tremblay had five steals for the Lady Dragons.

Boys' golf

Tuesday, May 18, Clarkston's boys' golf team squeaked by the Dragons with a 167-169 win. For Lake Orion, Alex Waelchli hit a 39, Paul Couretas and Corbin Rainey were each at 43 and Tyler Draggoo hit a 44.

The team's overall record is 1-4.


The Lady Dragons softball team took a 5-2 win over Oxford in a home game, Friday, May 21. Saturday, the girls won one and lost two during a tournament at Troy Athens.

Girls' soccer

Tuesday, May 18, Lady Dragons soccer team hosted Berkley and took a 2-0 win. Neither team scored in the first half, and Lake Orion's Maddie Hutchinson and Julianne Boyle each scored one in the second. Goaltenders Alyssa Mason and Hailey Redd shared the net.

May 20, the girls tied with Clarkston, 1-1. May 22, Lady Dragons enjoyed another home-turf win when they hosted Macomb Lutheran North. Final score was 7-0.

Liane Wagner had two goals and two assists, Shannon Inglis had a goal and one assist and Taylor Temonti added two goals.

The team is now 12-3-2 overall.
