Katrina Nicole Thelen and Anthony Paul Salvador are pleased to announce their engagement.Proud parents of the couple are Michael and Laurie Thelen of Midland and Kathleen and the late Paul Salvador of Ortonville.
The bride-to-be, a graduate of Midland High School and Western Michigan University, will attend WMU's physician assistant graduate program this fall to obtain her master of science degree in medicine.
The groom-to-be, a 2004 Brandon High School graduate, has a degree from Western Michigan University and is attending medical school at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
An August wedding is planned.
Rachel Burley was named to the dean's list for the fall and winter semesters at Michigan State University.
The 2007 Brandon High School graduate is a junior at MSU majoring in secondary education and will study abroad this summer in Tulle, France.
She is the daughter of Dave and Dianne Burley of Brandon Township.
Bethany Marie Connop has graduated with honors and distinction from the University of Michigan with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. She remained on the dean's list throughout her years at U of M.
Connop will pursue a career in elementary education. She is the daughter of Randy and Sue Connop of Ortonville.
Michael Genovese graduated May 7 from Wayne State University with a bachelor of science in business degree in global supply chain management. He is currently employed by Comau Pico, an automation systems provider in Southfield.
The 2005 Brandon High School graduate is the son of Frank and Catherine Genovese of Brandon Township.
Nicholas J. Genovese received his doctorate degree in biochemistry and molecular genetics on May 8 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He will continue doing cancer research through a post doctoral program.
The1996 graduate of Brandon High School and 2000 graduate of Oakland University and is the son of Frank and Catherine Genovese of Brandon Township.
Ashley Hughes graduated from Michigan State University on May 8 with a bachelor's degree in graphic design and advertising.
She is the daughter of Brendan and Kristina Hughes of Groveland Township.
