Girls' track takes eighth at states


Boys land in 27th place

June 09, 2010 - With 22 total points, the girls' track and field team raced to eighth place in the Division 1 state competition, beating out 50 other teams.

Helping Lady Dragons to eighth place overall was Jilian Linklater, who placed seventh in the high jump.

Chiara Allen took second in the 100-meter high hurdles with a time of 14.95.

Alexandria Johnson also took second in the 200-meter dash, at 25.53.

The 1,600-meter relay team took sixth place, with a time of 3:57.82.

On the boys' side, Dragons took 27th place with seven points overall in Division 1 action.

Sean Bone helped the team on its way by placing sixth in the 1,600-meter run, at 4:18.54.

Nathan Ziolko took fifth in the 3,200-meter run, with a time of 9:18.94.
