June 16, 2010 - It was a circus at Independence Elementary on June 3 - literally.
Students, parents and staff members got into the circus spirit for their annual field day.
Various events - all invoking fun and water to keep the kids cool. Including students became elephants and attempted to carry a ball around a course.
Teachers and parents volunteers also stayed cool on the hot day while students tried their luck aiming water balloons at them.Wendi graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a degree in communications. She wrote for the Michigan Times college paper and Grand Blanc View before joining The Clarkston News in October 2007.
