June 16, 2010 - Coffee hour

There will be a coffee hour at The Citizen 12 South St. Ortonville at 9 a.m., Friday, June 25 The public is welcome to attend and check out the new Ortonville 411 Website. Details: 248-627-4332.



At 7 p.m., June 24 the Lakes Huff & Louise Homeowners Association will host their annual meeting at the Old Town Hall 486 Mill St., Ortonville. All lakefront residents are invited to the annual meeting which will include pizza and pop, along with discussion of weed treatment, water quality and election of officers. Featured speaker will be Lois B. Robbins, a worker for land preservation and ecological awareness in North Oakland County. Coffee Club

From 7:30-9 a.m., June 23, The Citizen newspaper will host the Coffee Club at the Brandon Township Public Library, 304 South St. Come prepared to discuss what's new with your business and network with many area businesses. The event is free. Details 248-627-4332.

Keeping the Earth

From 9 a.m.-3 p.m., June 21-25 Christ the Shepherd Lutheran Church will host "Keeping the Earth" Day Camp for children ages 5-12. The cost is $15 per child for the entire week. We are offering extended day care for children until 5:30 p.m., if needed. There will be an additional charge of $5 per day for extended care. This is summer day camp with an ecological flair.
