June 23, 2010 - Area police are seeking information regarding a hit-and-run accident.

According to Lt. Steve Hill of the Grand Blanc Police Department, at about 11:45 a.m. June 18 a 65-year-old female was walking with her dog on Crofishire Dr. in the Kirkridge subdivision located in the City of Grand Blanc when she was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle did not stop.

Several witnesses observed the incident, including the driver and vehicle.

The vehicle is described as a gray or silver 1990 GM sedan, possibly a four-door. The vehicle may have front end damage and the passenger side mirror was damaged with the glass from the mirror.

The driver of the suspected vehicle was described as a white male, in his late teens to early 20s with long dark hair.

"We believe the driver may be from the Atlas Township, Goodrich area and could be traveling Perry Road on a daily basis,"said Hill. "The individual may know the area well enough to use Kirkland Subdivision to avoid construction on Perry Road and downtown Grand Blanc."

The victim was taken to Genesys Medical Center with serious injuries. She was released on Wednesday.

Her dog was killed.

"There were three witnesses at the scene—our description is very good."

Anyone with information relating to this hit-and-run should call The Grand Blanc City Police Department at 810-694-1111 or contact Lt. Steve Hill.
