Ashley Scholl of Milton, Ky. and Alexander McGee of Groveland Township are pleased to announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Donnie and Darlene Scholl of Milton, Ky. She is a 2002 graduate of Trimble County High School and a 2008 graduate of Northern Kentucky University. Ashley is employed with Omnicare, Inc.

The groom-to-be is the son of Steve and Tracey McGee of Groveland Township. He is a 2004 graduate of Brandon High School, a 2008 graduate of Kettering University and currently a student at Thomas Cooley Law School.

An August wedding is planned in Milton, Ky. with a reception to follow. A Michigan reception will take place the following week.

Clinton-Barnett-Stayton

Brittany Clinton-Barnett and Trevor Stayton are pleased to announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Nigel and Cherie Clinton-Barnett of Goodrich. She is a 2004 Goodrich High School graduate and is currently employed as a stylist at Glitz NXT in Orion Township.

The groom-to-be is the son of Rick and Karin Stayton of Grand Blanc. He is a 2001 Goodrich High School graduate and is currently employed as manager of the graphic design engineering team with IAEC Corp., based out of Lake Orion and China.

The couple is planning a March Disney wedding. Max Cotton, a 2010 graduate of Brandon High School, and 3-year starter for the varsity Blackhawks baseball team, was selected to play in the 18th annual Mott Community College Bruin Club All-Star Classic June 21.

Max pitched the third and fourth innings of the game. He gave up one hit, and struck out the side in the fourth inning. He also had one hit in two plate appearances.

Max was named the game's outstanding pitcher, and received a plaque for his performance.

Proud parents are Ron and Linda Cotton of Brandon Township.

Academics

Anne Miracle-Dalton has earned her master's degree in counselor education from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. She was also awarded the Colonel Charles E. Hershey Award from the School of Education. This award is given annually at The Citadel to an outstanding teacher education major graduate.

Anne lives with her husband Jamie Dalton in Charleston, SC and both of them are 1997 Brandon High School graduates.

Anne is the daughter of Judy and Glenn Miracle of Ortonville.

Michelle (Zachara) Morales graduated in April from Marygrove College with a master's degree in the art of teaching.

Michelle is a 1999 Brandon High School graduate and is currently employed at Oakwood Elementary School in the Brandon School District. She and her husband Dean are expecting their first child in September.

Michelle is the daughter of Kathy and Joe Zachara of Groveland Township.
