August 18, 2010 - Monday, August 16 - Three or four gunshots were heard in the area of Ray Rd.

*Two bikes were reported stolen from an address on Spring Lake Dr. sometime between Aug. 10 and Aug. 15.

*Police assisted a citizen who needed directions.

Sunday, August 15 - A caller reported a missing person, who was last seen in the Oxford area.

*A citizen wanted to speak with an officer about an assault that occurred on First St.

*A caller reported that a truck had been parked in two spots on S. Washington and W. Burdick for the previous two days.

*A caller on Crestmoor reported some suspicious activities were happening at a neighbors house.

*A boat motor was stolen from an address on Bay Pointe Dr.

Saturday, August 14 - A person walked into the lobby of the village station and reported her apartment on Crawford St. was broken into earlier in the week.

*Some items were stolen from a vehicle that was parked at the Village Manor Apartments on Pontiac St.

Friday, August 13 - Addison Township firefighters responded to the scene of an electrical fire at a house on Lakeville Rd.

They received a call at 2:36 p.m. after the homeowner heard some beeping noises coming from the smoke detector inside the house. Upon heading inside the house to investigate, he saw smoke coming from the attic and immediately got out of the house and reported the fire.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire using approximately 200 gallons of water, which started in the kitchen and traveled up to the attic.

The estimated damage to the house was around $15,000.

*There was a suspicious burgundy Ford with two young males sitting in it in the parking lot of an establishment on N. Lapeer Rd.

*There was a larceny at an establishment on N. Lapeer Rd. One subject was in custody.

*A subject on Lakeville and Glaspie was transported to the village station for possession of drugs.

Thursday, August 12 - While on patrol, an officer found an egged car on Dennison and Pontiac St.

*A window to a van was busted out on Granger.

*A male subject called 9-1-1 and stated that he used to be in a gang and he believed there were four males in a 1997 Chevy Impala in the parking lot on Crawford St. waiting with a gun to kill him. The car was gone when police arrived and they were unable to locate the vehicle. The officer spoke with the reporting person.

*There was a possible drunk driver on Baldwin and Seymour Lake Rd.

Wednesday, August 11 - A 2008 Saturn was stolen from a house on Thorne Hill Trail. Officers recovered the vehicle that afternoon one block away on Woodleigh Way, finding nothing missing from inside the vehicle. They also believe that two bikes that were taken from a residence on Spring Lake Dr. could possibly be involved in the theft of the vehicle. Anyone who has information about the theft of the vehicle should contact the Oxford Police Department at (248) 628-2525.

*Some furniture was stolen from a front porch on Oxford Lakes Dr.

*A caller on Orchard Ridge reported a loose pit bull in his yard.

*A radio faceplate was thought to be stolen from an address on Pontiac St. Upon further investigation, it was found to be in the arm rest of a chair.

Tuesday, August 10 - A motorcycle was spotted speeding down W. Manor.

*A trailer was broken into on S. Glaspie.

*Two suspicious vehicles were seen in the lot of the skate park on Glaspie St. The vehicles and the owners checked out and everything was clear.

*A vehicle drove down the Polly Ann Trail. An officer checked the area and the vehicle was gone.

*A driver was pulled over on Lakeville and Barr for driving while intoxicated. The driver blew a .247 and was lodged in Oakland County Jail for operating while intoxicated.
