August 18, 2010 - Over thirty eager Lake Orion women – mostly mothers of Lake Orion High School football players— answered the call to the gridiron Tuesday night, August 3. The Fourth Annual LO Women's Football Camp 101 co-sponsored by the Lake Orion Varsity Football program and Dragon Guided Afterschool Programs (GAP) taught the participants the basics of each player position as well as practice and game preparations.

Led by the Dragons head varsity football coach, Chris Bell, his staff and players, the "football moms" were put through the rigors of warm-ups, blocking, tackling, position specific drills, offensive and defensive plays and many other football particulars.

Overall, the ladies held their own in the drills and really impressed the coaching staff.

Coach Bell's varsity football team has a bright outlook for this coming season, and Oakland County's best parent fan section is going to be even more prepared to cheer on their beloved Dragons.
