Tough line to crack

The offensive line is charged with protecting quarterbacks Mitch Baenziger and Nick Demattia and opening holes for running back Joey Goss. While these hardy souls do tough work in the trenches they rarely get recognition. We at The Clarkston News would like to give them some love, so here is your O-line: from the left, Lucas Sanders, Aaron Wright, Matt Goebel, Craig Columbo, Nick Matich and Nick McInally. Go Wolves! August 25, 2010 - Throughout the off season the Clarkston Wolves have proven themselves on and off the field.

Doing much of the work on the field, and getting none of the glory are the offensive linemen. This year's starting line up includes seniors Matt Goebel, 6'0" 225 pounds and Adam Wright, 5'9" 215 pounds; junior Lucas Sanders, 6'3" 305 pounds; sophomore Craig Columbo, 6'2" 240 pounds; and freshman Nick Matich, 6'0" 230 pounds.

Senior Nick McInally is starting offensive tackle, 6'1" 250 pounds.

Wendi graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a degree in communications. She wrote for the Michigan Times college paper and Grand Blanc View before joining The Clarkston News in October 2007.
