August 25, 2010 - Justin Mezsets is living the life any aspiring football player would love to lead.

Mezsets, an upcoming junior at Brandon High School, is making his way into his second year on the varsity football team as an offensive and defensive lineman. His hardwork and dedication to the sport have added up over time and the outcome is a slew of universities vying for him to come play for them when he graduates in 2012.

More than five Division II colleges, such as Grand Valley State University, East Carolina University and Eastern Michigan University, have all contacted him. In the past few weeks, Mezsets was also announced on the Top 50 Michigan Prep college football recruits for Oakland County list. He is the only junior on that list. Mezsets said that he was looking forward to this time next year when he will hopefully be getting scholorship offers and going on college visits.

Mezsets is also working with former Miami Dolphin Jim Brown, who is helping him gain speed, power and overall agility. "My recruiter set it up. He mentioned Jim to us and we contacted him," said Mezsets. Justin hopes that with the extra help from Brown he will keep improving his game, and become a better asset to his team.

So how did Justin Mezsets get so good at what he does?

"I guess it's my size and my speed. I really focus on getting faster hands and feet. I just try to be a team player," said Mezsets.
