September 01, 2010 - With pony rides, face paintings, temporary tattoos, inflatables and tasty frozen custard, Culver's first annual Scoop for Hearts proved to be a success.

Scoop for Hearts was a fundraiser for the Children's Heart Foundation, a non-profit for children born with congenital heart defects.

The day also included a wide variety of raffle prizes from local businesses. For more information visit www.scoopforhearts.com or www.childrenheartfoundation.org.

Trevor graduated with degrees in English and communications from Rochester College. He wrote for his college and LA View newspapers before joining The Clarkston News in May 2007.
