In the Sept. 4 page 1 article in The Citizen titled "Three-year township budget plan takes shape,": Each elected official has a deputy and each deputy receives a 25-cent per hour stipend and will continue to receive it. The clerk has a part-time deputy, while the supervisor and treasurer each have full-time deputies. Proposed budget cuts call for the deputy treasurer to be reduced to part-time. While the position will retain the stipend, Supervisor Kathy Thurman said the position's current full-time wage of $15.82 per hour will be reduced to $14.36 per hour.
